Adriana Gavria (Marela) is thrilled to be joining this production of Anna in the Tropics. Her New York theatre credits include Immigrants’ Theatre Project (at The Public Theater, Tenement, Mazer, Shetler 54), Young Playwrights Inc. (at Cherry Lane, Lucille Lortel), Juggernaut Theater Company (at The Connelly), Working Theater (at the Abingdon), and Repertorio Español. Her many regional credits include Ms. Jekyll/Iris in The Birds (Yale Repertory Theatre), Echo in Eleemosynary (Ft. Lauderdale Main Theater) and the title role in Marisol (Wertheim Performing Arts Center). She was a National Hispanic Foundation for the Arts Recipient, 1998-2001 and a Fox Fellow (2001). She has an M.F.A. from Yale School of Drama.

Al Espinosa (Juan Julian) is delighted to make his ATC debut and to be collaborating again with director Richard Ham-burger. He most recently appeared in the West Coast premiere of Table Top at Laguna Playhouse and can be seen in an upcoming episode of the new Fox series, House. On Broadway he appeared in Getting Away With Murder and Sacrilege, and off-Broadway he appeared in Twelfth Night and Santa Concepcion at The Public Theater. His many regional credits include Dallas Theater Center, where he was last seen as Tomas Santos in Santos and Santos, Hartford Stage Company, The Old Globe, McCarter Theatre Center, Yale Repertory Theatre and Alley Theatre. On television and film he has appeared in Path to Paradise, The Tavern, Fidel, Navy: NCIS, Century City, Law and Order: SVU, Third Watch, and NYPD Blue, among others. Mr. Espinosa received his B.F.A. from SMU and his M.F.A. from Yale School of Drama.

Apollo Dukakis (Santiago) is happy to return to ATC for his seventh appearance, most recently as the Old Actor in The Fantasticks. Regional theatre credits include Homebody/Kabul at Trinity Repertory Company, Hecuba (American Conservatory Theater), Nine Armenians (Mark Taper Forum), and the role of Shylock in The Merchant of Venice (Pacific Repertory Theatre), among many others. In his eight years as resident actor at A Noise Within in Los Angeles he was Argan in Imaginary Invalid, Vandergelder in The Matchmaker, Mangan in Heartbreak House, Corbaccio in Volpone and Cleante in Tartuffe. From 1973-1990 he was associate artistic director, director and resident actor at The Whole Theatre in New Jersey, of which he was a co-founder. His TV credits include Seinfeld, Seventh Heaven, L.A. Law, Hunter, Life Goes On, Arrest and Trial, Shadow of the Blair Witch and Dark Holiday with Lee Remick. His film credits include American Heart with Jeff Bridges and Last Action Hero with Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Jacqueline Duprey (Conchita) appeared in the Broadway production of Anna in the Tropics (The Royale Theatre, directed by Emily Mann). Her many regional credits include Picasso at the Lapin Agile (Alliance Theatre Company), Troy Women (Yale Repertory Theatre), and Fool For Love (Los Angeles Theater Center). Her international credits include The Smell of Popcorn (Mexico, Venezuela, Costa Rica), Birds Fly Away With Death (Puerto Rico) and Women On Fire (XIV International Theater Festival, Portugal). On television and film she has appeared in Desamores, Sentimientos Encontrados, Cuando Despierta el Amor, Under Suspicion (directed by Stephen Hopkins), and Linda Sara (directed by Jacobo Morales). Ms. Duprey obtained her M.F.A. from Yale School of Drama.

Javi Mulero (Cheché) His theatre credits include Two Sisters and a Piano by Nilo Cruz (South Coast Repertory), Cloud Tectonics (Jose Rivera - Actors Theatre of Louisville, (Humana Festival), La Jolla Playhouse, Playwrights Horizons, Santa Fe Stages), California Scenarios, Sonnets For An Old Century, The Street of the Sun (world premiere), My Last Confession, Pancho Villa and the Naked Lady; Man of the Flesh and Raft of the Medusa. On film and television he appeared in Tremors 3, What’s Love Got to Do With It?, NYPD Blue, ER, Resurrection Blvd. and The District. Mr. Mulero is a playwright and 11 of his short plays have been produced.

Karmin Murcelo (Ofelia) was last seen at ATC in La Malinche. She appeared in the South Coast Repertory production of Anna in the Tropics. Her other theatre credits include California Scenarios, also at South Coast Repertory, Beauty of the Father (Seattle Repertory Theatre), Death and Life of Jesse James, The Maids, Red Cross (Mark Taper Forum), Once Removed (Long Wharf Theatre), Roosters (New Mexico Repertory) and The Boiler Room (The Old Globe). Her most recent television guest appearances include The Shield, The Division, Six Feet Under, and Diagnosis Murder. In films, she is best remembered for her performances in Right to Kill, Borderline and Blood In, Blood Out. Most recently she was Alma in Univision’s Te Amare en Silencio.

Timothy Perez (Eliades/Palomo) is happy to be making his ATC debut. After graduating with a Master’s degree in theatre from NYU, he accumulated a long list of credits on the off-Broadway stage, most notably at The Public Theater where his credits include A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Gonza the Lancer, Henry IV, Part I and II, The Taming of the Shrew, Blood Wedding and The Death of Garcia Lorca. His television and film credits include, NYPD Blue, ER, Relax It’s Just Sex (Sundance Film Festival) and, most recently, Edison. Mr. Perez teaches classical scene study and is producing a film that he has written called Kettleman City, to star F. Murray Abraham.
