Be at the Center of ATC’s Circles Of Support

Arizona Theatre Company is blessed to have a generous community of donors and supporters committed to nurturing the theatre in Arizona.  These individuals who have become a part of our Circles of Support recognize the value of high quality theatre and the importance of realizing our mission to create professional theatre that continually strives to reach new levels of artistic excellence; that resonates locally, in the state of Arizona, and throughout the nation.

Circles Members experience theatre in a whole new way, knowing that they play an important part in bringing our productions to life.  Circles Members become a part of ATC because they know their contribution is crucial in producing plays of the highest professional standards – plays that inspire, stimulate, and entertain ATC’s diverse audiences.  They join because they believe in providing training and innovative educational programs that enhance the quality of life for people of all ages and from all walks of life.  Circles Members know they are helping ATC ensure the future of theatre in Arizona (and beyond).

Because of the commitment and dedication of Circles Members, we are reaching people throughout the state from as far north as Window Rock to as far south as Nogales through outstanding community programs and educational workshops.  In addition, they have made the following possible for our company:

  • ATC continuously garners national attention by developing new plays on our stages; for example, this year we commissioned Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, which will be produced next season at theatres in several major cities, including Chicago, St. Louis, Minneapolis and Cincinnati.
  • Arizona Theatre Company was awarded a 2008 Tucson Pima Arts Council Lumie Award for demonstrating outstanding leadership, innovation and creativity in arts education.  This past season, we reached more than 12,000 students throughout Arizona, from the elementary to high school levels.
  • This past season, we initiated “America Plays! Celebrating Great American Stories,” a multi-year programming initiative bringing great American stories to our stages – and to our state.  The inaugural production of this initiative, To Kill a Mockingbird, allowed us to share many special events with members of our community including mock trials, book club discussions, reader’s theatre events, post-show discussions and pre-show talks with the director – all of which were offered to the public free-of-charge!

In addition to the reward of sharing great theatre with members of our community, Circles Members gain entry to an exclusive ‘inner circle,’ where they enjoy unique benefits, events, and opportunities.  Our Circles Members enjoy the intimacy of getting to know our theatre in an “up close and personal” way, from meeting directors, actors, and playwrights to special events and tours.  Among the benefits included with Circles membership are:

  • Invitations to Opening Night Circle dinners, featuring members of the creative team for each production;
  • Entry to exclusive Opening Night cast parties where they can mingle with the artists and ATC staff;
  • The chance to watch technical rehearsals as the creative team brings all the elements of a production together – from lights to music to costumes and more;
  • Exclusive tours specifically designed to give you a behind-the-scenes look at ATC’s productions; and
  • Special recognition in the programs and the theatre lobby.

Joining ATC’s Circles of Support enriches the theatre-going experience and provides many exciting insider opportunities. Please let us know how we can help you have the very best experiences each and every time you come to a production at Arizona Theatre Company.   For more information about becoming a Circles Member, please call Sandra Um [sum@arizonatheatre.org] at (520) 884-8210, ext. 8302 or (602) 256-6899, ext. 8302.
