KING HENRY V

Study up on the story of Shakespeare’s rousing history about one of England’s most beloved and fascinating kings.

Shakespeare created a bold and dashing character in King Henry V, but what do we know about the real man who ruled England in the fifteenth century?

The Battle of Agincourt is the centerpiece of Shakespeare’s play and he chronicles it as a story of an underdog defeating massive odds to emerge triumphant.  Was Shakespeare’s vision true to the actual history?

Discover the journey of Shakespeare’s play from its first performance in 1599 to excerpts being used to sell PlayStation 3!

Arizona Theatre Company is proud to partner with Dr. Peter Medine of the University of Arizona Humanities Department as he presents a special seminar Shakespeare’s play, its composition and its treatment in popular media.
