Mollie’s Delicious (created from Gravenstine &
Ginger Gold) is a large, conical apple three-fourths red over
a cream background. Good off the tree, this apple improves
dramatically in the cooler to a deliciously sweet dessert
fruit.

Americans eat approximately 19.6 pounds of fresh apples annually,
compared to about 46 pounds consumed annually by residents
of European countries.
The most popular variety of apple in the United States is
