Pre-Session Information
Learn from theatre professionals in this intensive learning program sponsored by Arizona Theatre Company, the state's leading professional theatre company, now in its 41st season and the nationally recognized University of Arizona School of Theatre Arts.
Summer on Stage teaches you a variety of acting techniques including character development, voice for the actor, scene and monologue study, movement and dance. You are educated through classroom work, in addition to; an intensive rehearsal process leads to fully mounted productions performed at the Temple of Music and Art, the home of Arizona Theatre Company.
New for 2008!
Students returning to Summer on Stage have the option of applying for one of 2 Assistant to the Stage Manager positions! Students chosen for these positions will work closely with the Stage Management staff during rehearsals and performances, and will have the opportunity to learn more about the role of Stage Management within a professional theatre company. Please note that student Assistants to the Stage Manager will not be assigned an acting role in either production due to their rehearsal commitments. All students will participate in the morning class schedule.
Classes are June 30 - August 2, 2008; Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm.
Performance dates are July 30 - August 2, 2008 at 7pm.
Classes are held at the University of Arizona
and the Temple of
Music and Art in Tucson.
Participation is limited and determined by registration.
THE EARLY REGISTRATION COST IS $575 AND
THE DEADLINE IS MAY 1, 2008.
REGULAR REGISTRATION COST IS $625 AND
THE DEADLINE IS JUNE 1, 2008.
LATE REGISTRATION COST IS $675 AND
THE DEADLINE IS JUNE 15, 2008.
