Touch the Names is a deeply powerful
tribute to the men and women whose names live forever on the
Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, DC. In a stirringly
theatrical reminder of every war’s human toll, we hear
the voices of the survivors as they honor and celebrate the
all-too-brief lives of spouses, parents, friends and strangers.
Taken verbatim from the thousands of letters and mementos
that have been left at the base of the wall since 1982, this
play is an eloquent portrait of the many lives that were touched
by the Vietnam War. Touch the Names offers a rare
opportunity to set aside our differences and share a moment
of understanding, as politics fade into the background and
love takes center stage. Created by the man who brought us Love, Janis, Hank Williams: Lost Highway and It
Ain’t Nothin’ but the Blues, Randal Myler’s
stunning creativity is accompanied by the soulful poetry of
live music written and performed by the renowned Chic
Street Man.

Discover what it takes to take a play from the words written on the page to the full-scale production seen on stage. Learn from designers, directors, and industry experts how a show’s concept come to life through costumes, sets, lights, actors, and directorial vision. All From Page to Stage events are held at Borders at the Scottsdale Waterfront.
